 The RUPES LHR 15 Mark II BigFoot Polisher is a CE approved 230 volt UK specification dual action polisher with a difference. In contrast to many of the low cost dual action machines currently available, the LHR 15 Mark II features a massive 15 mm throw (most dual action polishers feature a throw of 8 mm or less). As a result of having a much longer throw, the LHR 15 Mark II increases the effective cutting power of any given pad and polish combination (because the abrasives are worked across a much larger area per oscillation). The net effect of this is that the LHR 15 Mark II does more cutting in less time, but without compromising the needs of the detailer. By limiting the throw to 15 mm (its bigger brother, the LHR 21 Mark II, has a much longer throw of 21 mm) and using a 125 mm proprietary backing plate designed to accept RUPES 150 mm BigFoot Polishing Pads, the LHR 15 Mark II remains easy to control when working on strongly curved surfaces and in tight areas against edges. This is the reason why the term 'Detailing' is written on the head of the LHR 15 Mark II, but not on the LHR 21 Mark II (which was designed with professional bodyshop environments in mind, where polishing large areas to a high standard in the shortest possible time is critical to profitability).
